Tis the season

Doodling is soooo calming.
I wanted to sketch what I think Aron might look like, from your short story, Olivia! It's probably totally different than how you see him.
Yes, she has two left hands haha, whoops. And no right hand... I feel like I always apologize for how awkward my doodles are. Like the dude on the hill for instance....haha
This one is fairly okay, except for two left hands again. Argh, what is wrong with me.

Merry Christmas from a humble gift-giver.

This wall was void of Christmas decoration besides the garland, so I broke out the hot glue gun, Popsicle sticks, red paint, glitter, and ribbon. These were actually kinda frustrating to line up, but the result is worth it! They're huge! And pretty :)
Our printer ran out of colored ink, so I made a banner the old fashioned way, hand painted. I picked a font online and copied it. It was really fun!
I made mini snowflakes and a mini banner for my dresser side of the room.

I love, love, love this time of the year.

Sugar the snail

I still have a lot to learn, but I'm having fun. :)

Perhaps I should digitalize something Christmasy now.
A snail in the green grass and sunshine doesn't quite fit December.

Digital Art?

I decided to pick up my Wacom tablet and play around this morning.
Layers are so confusing, I see youtubers spread paint over the entire picture and it's invisible and perfect at the end, I tried that with the gray, and you can see where I went over the lines.
Lots of learning to do, but honestly, this is the farthest I've ever gotten before!

UPDATE:
I think I'm getting the hang of this now...kinda.

What do you think?

Doodle download

Okay, so these aren't supposed to be good...this is just me doodling what I see in my brain. Enjoy!

^ Mom has a Christmas ornament of a little wooden man, and I love his beard, so I drew it!
I did the one on the left first, and then wondered what he would've looked like when he was younger, and then did the one on the right.

^I'm currently character-designing a fox that I want to show up in little comics or around holidays. I was going to name him Felix, but I think it's too predictable. Hmmm.

^And elderly gentleman I sketched while we waited for our food at a restaurant in town.

^I really want to make a drawing showing that every freckle is a galaxy. I haven't thought much about how to do it yet, but I want to!

I sketched a selfie of some person I saw. I don't know why haha...

^Blushing Eskimo

^Eh...I was trying to draw the rest of her body with different pens...and only one side of her hair is finished. *sigh*

^I needed a doodle break from writing a paper last week and felt much better after I drew her.

^Last week's art assignment....ehhh. Haha.

Charlotte:

^She loved to rest her chin on my head.
^And loves taking selfies.
^She's such a baby.
^This is as big as she'll get!

Monochromatic Still Life

My very first 18x24 piece!
I won't say how long it took...but many hours were spent on my bedroom floor completing it.

It was so hard making the objects so big. There's still quite a few places I could touch up on it, but for now, I am abandoning it!

Leaf assignment

I'm ashamed to say that this picture took me two weeks. I worked slowly and had no motivation.
But I'm happy it's over and ready for the next assignment!

Oil Painting Progress

Here you can see my monochromatic oil painting progress. I hadn't felt or seen myself improving at painting until I laid all my paintings out on my bed room floor and was very pleased with the result!

Of course, these are just shapes and only in black and white...there's still lots of unlearned territory to cover yet!

Sew Brilliant

My favorite part is the shadow on the left side, it turned out pretty cool!

So thankful for art homework that pushes me out of my imaginary boundaries.

Neverland

I'm pleasantly pleased with the result!

I used black India ink, white India ink, watercolor,  water soluble colored pencil, and pastels to soften the look.

What do you think?

(The lighting is a little rough in the first two, the last one I scanned)

This is the beginning...♩ ♪ ♫ ♬

Just a sneak peek of what I'm working on ...

I'm pretty excited about it. :)

Autumn Evening

I've been wanting to make a blog strictly meant for my artwork lately, so here it is! My goal is to remain very active, and to do that, you'll mostly notice the pictures being screenshots from my Instagram account...I don't want to admit that I'm lazy, but sometimes taking nice photos with a camera and then uploading them on my computer takes quite a chunk of time.

I couldn't think of anything to draw a couple days ago so I asked my sister if she had any suggestions. She told me I haven't drawn very many ethnic people and told me to try it.
I'm glad she told me because I hadn't even noticed!
