Inspirations

Inspiration is a fragile thing that must continually be fed.

Vincent Van Gogh tends to be a favorite for many artists.
For me, I admire that he pushed through, even when no one liked his work.
He enjoyed it, and continued, regardless of what others thought.

Bob Ross.
I didn't grow up watching his TV show, and only discovered him about 3 years ago.
His voice and painting style is laid back and soothing.
Bob's vision was to teach painting in a way that anyone can do, and he succeeded.

The sea.
The tides,
The current.
The sealife.

Just seeing pictures of the ocean inspires me.
The hues of the sea, the untamable beauty of the waves, and what lies underneath unseen sparks such curiosity inside me.
(Who knows,  Mermaids may exist after all!)

Sitting outside in nature, doing nothing, is rejuvenating.
The chirping birds,
The calm breeze,
 The constantly moving clouds,
All have endless inspiration inside them.
Taking walks and finding little treasures, mushrooms, (where a fairy and her pet snail live), or finding  a pinecone(...or is it a hedgehog in disguise?)  Feathers, stones, or empty egg shells.
Gifts from God are everywhere for you to find!

I like to get away from the ways of the world, and make my own world in my head.
God helps me stand apart and see things differently.
Many people don't take the time to enjoy simple things.
Have you looked out your window each day and seen the same view?
Go out and spend sometime closer, study the tree bark, admire what God has made!

I try to pray before I start drawing.
I definitely pray when I'm failing.
I pray when I try again - for patience.
God knows I have it in me.

I'm just learning to remember to give all the glory to God, not to myself.
He made you and me and gave us our talents.
Our talent comes from God, and we should use them to honor him!

This is a reason I have never gotten into dark art, I see no happiness there, and I want to bring happiness to others through my art!

Blank paper excites me.
Before I start drawing I take time to think about what possibilities I could fill the page with.
....And sometimes I come up with nothing.
(And then go back outside for inspiration.)

You can find freedom in art!
 I can't stress it enough,
Don't depend on inspiration online too much,
you have a way of seeing things differently, in a way I and others can't.
Use that ability!

If you're wanting to start drawing, but don't know where to begin.
Start.
All the art books, all the tutorials, all the pictures and beautiful works I've seen, I admire. I envy.
I've never felt better when I stop looking, and I'm just drawing.
The good thing is, more you draw, the better you get.
It is a skill that can be learned,
we all started as amateurs, not masters.

What are you waiting for?
Pick up a pencil and go for it!
