Wishing elephant & oils

I haven't had the courage to watercolor in ages...I really want to get back into it.

This now hangs above my door!

I'm thinking about painting "The mountains are calling and I must go."

or "Prayer moves mountains" underneath.

This was my second attempt at oil pastels.

I only spent a half hour on it, and felt like letting go and scribbling around, not pressuring to be perfect...and it felt rather good. 

This was on regular sketch paper, not recommended for oil work.. haha.

This was my first attempt at oil pastels, and ON pastel paper.

This was fun too, I loved the bold colors the original artist used.

Artists see things so differently.

Happy Homework

I'm reallllllllly pleased with how this week's homework turned out for both oil painting and drawing! :)

Oil painting still life, this is my first time doing folds, and it didn't turn out half bad!

The photo given to me to follow originally was holding a cigar, but I didn't think I could be happy making it since I don't support smoking, so I put a paintbrush in the hand instead!

Noww I have to go back and get more homework.

I just finished...and don't really want more yet..haha

I'm really lacking creativity with my doodling lately.

I've mostly been drawing happy faces, and I need to get re-inspired asap.

Medieval Times- Castles, Knights, Falcons, Baby Dragons, and Flowers

They were selling gorgeous swords, shields, and suits of armor!

Of course I had to get a couple keepsakes!

This beautiful horse galloped through the arena so gracefully, and knew his routine.

His performance along with the music gave me chills!

He announced each knight, and each section with his colors would cheer for him.

We were in the black and white section.

....For each competiton, the knight would get several flowers and throw them to ladies in his color section. Our knight kept making eye contact with me....and I was like NO.

So I watched something else happening and he kissed the flower and tossed it to mom instead.

(That was a close one..even if it would've been magical)

The King

He set the falcon free in the arena and he flew over the crowd so majestically, again with the music, 

I got chills from the performance!

They cooked the finest baby dragons for us.

;)

There were many courses of food actually...it was such a hearty meal!
